Course Description:
Advanced Placement Calculus I is a college level course with topics which include functions, limits and continuity, derivatives, integration, and the applications of these topics. This course is designed to prepare the student for the College Board’s Advanced Placement Calculus

- Any form of cheating will result in a grade of 0%.
- S.D.H.S. student handbook rules will be enforced
- Turn in work on time. (Late work will not be accepted)
- Each assignment must include your name, date assigned, and the page number.
- Students who miss class on a scheduled test date will be required to take the test on the next class period when they return to school. This test may not be in the same format as the missed test, but will cover the same concepts.
- Students who communicate during a test or quiz will have 10% deducted from their test or quiz score.

Assessments:
All students enrolled in AP Calculus I are required to take either a county developed final exam that reflects the College Boards standards or the College Board Calculus AB exam.
Calculus AB Exam Date: Wednesday May 4, 2011 am

- Homework and Classwork 25%
- Quizzes 30%
- Tests 40%
- Midterm exam 5%
Final Grade:
- Course grade 90%
- Final exam 10% - students that take the Calculus AB exam are exempt from the county final.
